My Abandonment Issues

On Al's blog 'Life On A Roll Of Film', he posted about scratchcards, and in the comments what was abandoned at kiosks was expanded - I think aggressiveadmin, who blogs on 'Working at Food Place', came up with the most disgusting item left at a kiosk...

Anyway, I thought I'd post about the things that either get handed in to me, or that I find whilst walking round the hotel at night.

On one wedding night, I had handed in to me:-

1) A scarf
2) A mobile phone
3) A purse
4) A dinner jacket
5) A bow tie
6) A bunch of flowers
7) A tiara

And,

8) A shoe...

A shoe. How do you lose A shoe?! Both shoes, yes. But surely you'd notice if you lost A shoe!

However, the strangest thing I've found, was whilst I was checking the ladies' toilets at the end of the night.

In one of the cubicles was a pair of panties. A 'used' pair or panties... and a price tag.

Now, from what I can gather, someone has gone shopping and bought a pair of panties. They have then gone to the ladies bathroom, put them on, entertained themselves, and then taken them off and left them there for someone to find...

Some people have strange fetishes...

Any other theories that would explain this?

Ah, this is a well-known phenomenon, Grasshopper...The Roadside Shoe" tells more. ;-)

I really don't know what to say about that panty story... but it reminds me that at Heathrow I used the Gents., entering the only vancant cubicle.

On the floor there was a Boots the Chemists' bag, and the till receipt from said bag. I could also see a cap from a tube of something like toothpaste and what looked like a small applicator nozzle from a sealant gun. (But much smaller)

All became apparent when I noticed a tube of Canesten cream, of all places wedged up inside the toilet roll holder.

Being mindfully aware of the er... "business" I was attending to, I turned around and looked closer at the receipt which was indeed for the cream, plus I spotted the box in the next cubicle too.

Some poor sod must have been in such agony that he had to rush in and apply it to the "affected parts", but why ram the tube into the roll dispenser!?

I really don't want to think anymore about the panty story.

Strange that you mention panties. Last night, whilst checking the showers, I noticed something under the sink. I dragged it out (with a brush) and it was a black pair of Marks & Spencer's finest women's underwear with an odd stain on them.

Let's just say that the stain was the same colour as the earth.

...this was in the female shower room.

I work for a bus company...puzzles me the number of walking sticks we find left on board (presumably they needed a stick to get on...)...

But it gets better - we recently found a zimmer frame on board...and on one memorable occasion, an artificial leg, which, intriguingly, was never claimed!

The single shoe always baffles me.

All we ever get left is shopping car keys, wallets and mobile phones. They all end up being claimed.

And I'm seriously glad I don't have to clean or check toilets!

Weirdest thing I found was a pair of trousers. I was working in a cinema at the time!

Hello.

A banks is a financial institution that accepts deposits and channels those deposits into lending activities. Banks primarily provide financial services to customers while enriching investors. Government restrictions on financial activities by banks vary over time and location. Bank are important players in financial markets and offer services such as investment funds and loans. In some countries such as Germany, banks have historically owned major stakes in industrial corporations while in other countries such as the United States bank are prohibited from owning non-financial companies. In Japan, banks are usually the nexus of a cross-share holding entity known as the keiretsu. In France, bancassurance is prevalent, as most banks offer insurance services (and now real estate services) to their clients.

The level of government regulation of the banking industry varies widely, with countries such as Iceland, having relatively light regulation of the banking sector, and countries such as China having a wide variety of regulations but no systematic process that can be followed typical of a communist system.CLICK HERE
